14 senior IPS officers transferred in Madhya Pradesh, Rana gets charge of intelligence wing

BHOPAL: As many as 14 senior officers of Indian Police Service (IPS) were shifted in a reshuffle on Wednesday late evening. 

Those who were transferred include three Special Director Generals of police and nine Additional Director Generals of Police.

Among Special DG rank officers, KN Tiwari who had the charge of DG Training and Complaints, has been given charge of Special DG, Economic Offences Wing. 

Sanjay Rana, an officer of 1986 batch of IPS, is the new Special DG (Intelligence). His earlier posting was with the Madhya Pradesh Police Housing Corporation.

Rajeev Tandon, ADG, who earlier headed intelligence wing, has now been posted as ADG (Railways). Special DG Purushottam Sharma will now be heading Police Training and Research Institute (PTRI).

Among other ADGs Ajay Sharma, who headed Indore zone, has been shifted to PHQ while GP Singh has been posted as ADG (Cooperative Fraud, Public Service Gaurantee and RTI) at PHQ.

ADG Sanjay Mane has been posted as managing director with the Police Housing Corporation. Sushovan Banerjee has been posted as ADG, Special Police Establishment of Lokayukta.

Other officers who have got new postings include Vijay Kataria as ADG (Welfare), SM Afzal as ADG (Economic Offices), Varun Kapur as ADG Indore zone. IG Anant Kumar Singh has been posted as IG with the PHQ at Bhopal while Vivek Sharma gets posting of IG Jabalpur zone.
