Two doctors have been suspended for lapses in the medical report of the Bhopal gang rape victim.

The action has been taken after High Court took congisance of the lapse.

Dr Khushbu and Dr Sanyogita have been put under suspension. A third doctor has been issued the notice.

The first medical examination report of the gang rape victim, had mentioned that it was consensual intercourse. This had left the MP government red-faced. There was strong criticism as already there were lapses by police.

The court had issued notices to Chief Secretary, DGP and principal secretaries of Home and Health departments. After the report was leaked, there was outrage in Bhopal.

The victim, a 19-year-old, a IAS aspirant, was returning home from coaching institute when she was kidnapped, taken towards the desolate spot near railway track, and raped by four men.

After the incident, the girl had gone to police station but FIR was not registered. Later, the case hit headlines. All the four accused were arrested. CM had ordered stern action in this case. Now MP High Court has taken note of the lapse in medical report.
