In a weird incident, a man was killed by throwing him out of a running train by a stranger who apparently had no reason to attack him.

The victim fell off the train and died. This incident occurred near Sukhi Sewania railway station on the outskirts of Bhopal, railway police said on Monday.

According to police sources--the victim, Ritesh was sitting near the door of a general coach of the Kamayani Express when Rajmal Pal, 28, threw him out. Ritesh fell down and got critical injuries, resulting in his death.

The accused said, 'Mujhe to marna hai, tujhe maar deta hoon' (‘I have to die, so I am killing you’). This is what the killer said, according to police. Ritesh's kin who was travelling gave statement to police in this regard. Subsequently, the accused--Pal, was arrested.

Ritesh didn't know Pal at all. There was no altercation or argument either. Investigating officer of the Railway police too expressed surprise that there was no apparent provocation for the murder.

Police said Ritesh and his relative Sumit were sitting at the door of the compartment. They were to get down at Bhopal station, which was approaching. Suddenly, Pal appeared and kicked out Ritesh, who couldn't hold on to the door and fell down. He died of injuries on the spot.

Ritesh didn't even have time to realise that what was happening to him. He was returning from Allahabad after performing the post-death rituals of his mother. The police have registered a case and are investigating it.
