BHOPAL: It was a unique matrimonial alliance that was staged in the city on Monday.
BJP and Pakistan's ISI were 'married off' in a demonstration that was organised by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
A man posed as groom, wearing a dress that had ISI written on it, while the bride's gown had BJP printed on it apart from the words, 'Farzi Rashtravadi--Suputri, RSS' [Fake nationalist, daughter of RSS].
The AAP leaders organised this protest at Board Office square in Bhopal, to highlight the alleged links between BJP IT cell members who were arrested for running an espionage racket and for the links with ISI.
"During the protest, a man posing as RSS performed the kanya-daan", said AAP leaders. BJP IT cell convener Dhurv Saena and BJP councillor's kin Jitendra Thakur are amongst those arrested. Some others arrested have links with Saffron parivar.
AAP state convenor Alok Agarwal said that the BJP and ISI have old links and the recent arrests have made these links public. With this demonstration, we wanted to tell the people how BJP leaders can even sell the country even when making tall claims about nationalism.
The AAP leaders said that the local administration tried to stop the event but still it was organised. They said that the BJP's double standards and pseuo nationalism has been exposed badly.
A signature campaign was initiated on the spot, demanding that a Supreme court monitored SIT conduct probe into the links of BJP members with ISI. The party has also conducted similar campaigns across over a dozen districts in MP today.
