Tragedy struck the Chourasiya family as they were preparing to serve feast to some close relatives on Sunday. They were informed that Lance Naik Pritam had hanged himself while on duty at Budhinagar, Sujanpur (Punjab) on Sunday morning.

He had left a two-page suicide note, blaming some of his seniors for his extreme step. Pritam had got his leave sanctioned four months ago, but it was cancelled at the nick of time.

The kin of the deceased said that Pritam was to leave from Damoh from Punjab on November 15, but could not as the leave was cancelled. Also he was being reportedly harassed by his seniors.
