RAISEN: A man was brutally beaten after being tied to tree and was attacked with a sword, resulting in his hand getting severed.

This shocking incident took place near Sultanpur in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh.

The victim--Premnarayan Sahu, 35, was beaten up with lathis and attacked with a sword.

Sahu lost his hand and was critically injured in the attack. His kin were informed and they rescued him. The victim was admitted to the hospital and later referred to Bhopal.

According to police, Sahu, 35, was looking for his cow. He went to the house of Sattu Yadav, a local resident, to inquire about it.

This led to an altercation. Sattu, his son Rajpal and Rahul, Sattu Lodhi and others. They overpowered Sahu, tied him to a tree and beat him. The police have registered a case in this regard.

The hunt is on to catch the assailants. Police said that two persons have been arrested and three more are yet to be caught. [Representative photo]
