Man rapes six-year-old girl, tries to damage her eyes, injures her in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL: A man allegedly raped a six-year-old girl in Damoh district in Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh. 

The accused, Sachin Sen, raped the minor and later tried to blind her, so that she couldn't later identify him. 

This incident occurred in Banshipur that falls under the jurisdiction of Jabera police station in Damoh district on Thursday. 

The injured child who was lying unconscious, was rushed to the hospital. This incident caused massive anger among local residents. Even, top politicians and leaders raised the issue. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also expressed his concern and directed stern action. 

Later, it was found that Sachin Sen, whose father is a 'sarpanch' had lured the girl with the promise that he would get her toffee. He took the girl to a desolate spot and raped her. The child is undergoing treatment and her condition is now reported to be stable and improving. 

The victim was rushed to Jabalpur for better treatement. Also, the doctors have confirmed that contrary to certain reports, her sight is fine and there is no damage to the vision. The accused, Sachin Sen, has been booked for rape and has been arrested. The police said that he is being interrogated.
