LUCKNOW: A BJP legislator has made a controversial statement, saying that he wanted to 'bomb' those who felt unsafe in the country.

Vikram Saini, who is a BJP MLA representing the Khatauli constituency in Uttar Pradesh, said that those who feel insecure are anti-nationls and have no business to live here.

'Give me a ministry....I will bomb them...', said the legislator who was addressing a gathering on Friday. He said it while laying foundation stone for the project to unfurl 151 ft high national flag in Muzaffarnagar in UP.

Also, he later claimed that there was nothing wrong in his statement. Speaking to media persons, Saini said that this was 'rural language' and he was speaking it in the local idiom that is prevalent in the region.

The MLA also targeted the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh, and accused it of being against the national song, Vande Matram. He said that those who were not in favour of the song, should be declared anti-national and a law must be brought in this regard.

Later, when journalists questioned him, he again reiterated his stand, though diluting it a bit. "Jo deshdrohi hain jo kahte hain unko khatra hai....main ne kaha hai ki unka intezam hona chahiye....ye deshdrohi ki shreni mein aaye....mujhe mantralay de do....pichhwade mein bomb phod doonga".

Reacting to the statement, Congress said that the lawmaker was speaking in the language of terrorists. Party's senior leader Raj Babbar said that he must be probed for terror links after such statements.
