GWALIOR: In a counter-attack on Congress, BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia surprised people with his statement.

He said that he was a dog, who is owned by the people, and if someone raises a finger, he will even bite to protect his master (people).

The statement came in wake of alleged remark from his political rivals, though Congress leaders deny that they made such a remark.

'Kamal Nath had called me a dog..", Scindia said. "Haan, main kutta hoon...." (yes I am a dog), he futher added. He then went on to add that he will protect his owner (the people). He said it in Shadhora in Ashok Nagar, while speaking in front of a large number of people. The clip went viral, immediately.

Apparently, it was a response to Congress' leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam's speech who had earlier said that when "Kamal Nath tried to act against a mafia don, someone protected him like a faithful dog". Krishnam had not taken anyone's name though. There have been several controversies over remarks during elections rallies and Kamal Nath using the term 'item' for a woman legislator, had also evoked sharp response from BJP.
