The Madhya Pradesh government—in coordination with the State High Court—has established four special courts to ensure the expedited trial of legal cases related to cheating and paper leaks in competitive and board examinations. Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in India to set up such fast-track courts for this purpose, a government release said.

These special fast-track courts are designed to handle cases arising from investigations or interventions by flying squads and other legal mechanisms established to curb examination malpractice.

The courts are mandated to conclude trials within three months of the filing of a charge sheet. Proceedings in these courts will be conducted by special public prosecutors, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted under the leadership of the Superintendent of Police of the respective district. These fast-track courts will be established in the cities of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, and Jabalpur, each with a defined territorial jurisdiction.
