United Nations security council strongly condemns Pulwama attack, names Jaish
UNITED NATIONS: The United Nations security council (UNSC) - most powerful international body - has condemned the Pulwama attack in the “strongest terms” and called for holding accountable sponsors of terrorism.
The all powerful UN body has also named Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad in an official statement.
Sources however said the UN condemnation statement was in a standard UNSC format issued for every terrorist strike it has condemned, changing only names of country, places and those responsible.
Where an entity claimed responsibility credibly, the press statements name them, not otherwise.
So, sources added, it was expected for the statement to name JeM, which had claimed responsibility.
