Worship your parents on Valentine's Day, DM issues order in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL: A district magistrate has directed that February 14 be celebrated as 'Matr-Pitr Pujya Diwas', which means a day on which parents ought to be worshipped.
All the educational institutions and social organisations have been asked to follow the order meant for Valentine's Day.
District Collector JK Jain, who is posted in Chhindwara, has issued this order.
In this order, the collector has said that programmes should be organised in homes, villages, localities in the cities across the district. "It is hoped that the events are organised on a large-scale", the order further says.
The aim is to strengthen the feeling of love and obedience towards parents, says the order. The letter's copies have been specially forwarded to the district education officer to be sent to all the principals for implementation.
