BHOPAL: A 12-year-old boy committed suicide after he was scolded for addiction to the video games

The incident occurred in Bagh Sewania. The boy, Laxman Singh Soren, ended life in his house.

The boy hanged himself. He was brought down and rushed to the hospital. But the doctors failed to resuscitate him.

Laxman, who had passed Class 6th examination recently, was playing video game on the cell phone at his home in Bagh Sewania.

However, his mother asked him to focus on studies instead of wasting hours on games and cartoons. Apparently, this angered him so much that he committed suicide.

The family was devastated after the incident. Laxman's mother was uncontrollable at the hospital and said that she had no idea that he could take such an extreme step.

Laxman was the youngest among three siblings. The eldest sister is married while the other sister was in another room when the incident occurred.

The boy's father works as supervisor with a construction company. He generally came home in the afternoon for a while for lunch, but regrets that he couldn't come home on the day, else, his son might have been alive. The police are investigating the case.
