Bhopal: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday talked to Vyapam Scam whistleblower Ajay Dubey regarding the latter's complaint on serious irregularities in transport department recruitments done by the MP Professional Examination Board (Vyapam) in year 2012.

CBI sleuths held at length discussions with Dubey at its Bhopal office, after taking cognizance of the complaint filed by Dubey about involvement of senior officials including the chief secretary Anthony De Sa in the scam.

The whistleblower told Newsbitsdotin that the CBI inquired about the the documents and facts presented by him along with the complaint with a view to cross check the details.

The complaint by Dubey mentions fact that posts of transport constables to be recruited were increased to 332 from 198 and rules regarding physical proficiency test changed arbitrarily to allow Vyapam to conduct the test. The Vyapam had earlier refused to conduct the test on ground that it had no capability to conduct the physical test.

Also the complaint mentioned that the finance department had taken objections to increase in the posts, but they were given a go by. Dubey has alleged role of CS De Sa, who was then the additional chief secretary of transport department, in the scam.

The CBI is now likely to seek further clarifications from the trasnport and finance departments before moving ahead with the investigations, sources said.
