Madhya Pradesh: Accused in BJP leader's murder is shot dead on way to court hearing

A man was shot dead and two of his companions were injured when they fired at on way to court hearing. They were fired at from a car. 

The victim, Mukesh Kushwaha, and two others were going to the court for hearing in the case of a BJP corporator’s murder. After the incident, the assailants escaped.

According to police, Mukesh was an accused in the murder of local BJP leader Bal Krishna. This is a revenge killing, said police. Bal Krishna's brother is a suspect in today's murder. 

The murder occurred in Datia in Chambal region. Mukesh was on bail and was going to the court as hearing in the murder case was scheduled. But when he was on way to court, a car appeared and began indiscriminate firing. 

Mukesh died on the spot. His friends Ajay Ahirwar and Ranu were injured. The attackers managed to escape even before the police could arrive. But it is said that Bal Krishna's brother Bhanwar Singh had fired at the trio. The police have begun search operation, to catch the accused.
