INDORE: A youth who appeared in the police constable recruitment test was turned taller by five centimetres by doctors in Madhya Pradesh.

The inquiry has now nailed all the nine doctors. The charge-sheet against the governmetn doctors would now be produced.

The applicant Krishna Kumar Yaduvanshi's height was 5 centimetres less than the selection norms.

But in the fitness test result, the medical board 'turned' him taller and made him eligible. His height was shown as 170 cm, which was much more than his real height.

There were complaints that nearly 15-20 job aspirants had been selected through similar fraud. After the issue became public, police had begun an inquiry into the entire case.

It was found that the district medical board members including former civil surgeon and several other doctors were involved in fraud and forgery. Hence, state medical board was asked to hold inquiry.

Now as soon as the chargesheet is produced, the doctors could be suspended. If charges are proved, they could be dimissed and their pension may be stopped also apart from conviction.
