BHOPAL: Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati is upset due to alleged misbehaviour with him at the Delhi airport.

Soon after his arrival in Bhopal on Monday, Shankaracharya said that he was mistreated and he was hurt because of the incident.

Talking to media persons, he said that the central industrial security force (CISF) officials misbehaved with him.

A visibly angry Shankaracharya said that he was made to leave his wheel chair at the airport. He said that this has happened with him for the first time in life. Terming it 'ghor apmaan' (extreme insult), he attacked the Centre for the alleged misbehaviour.

"I am sure, if there was someone else in my place, the incident won't have taken place", he said. Swaroopanand Saraswati's followers have demanded a written apology from the security officials at the Delhi airport, and want action in this regard.

Brahmachari Ramanand, who accompanied the Shankaracharya, said that they were about to board the Air India flight when the securit officials misbehaved with the seer. At the press conference, Shankaracharya said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi must take a stern step to end terrorism.

"He should stop his foreign visits and must deal with Pakistan. It is sad that during this government's rule too, terrorists continue to operate and there is no check on their activities. Pakistan should be given a befitting reply", he added.
