BHOPAL: An Uzbek girl who had arrived in Bhopal for a pleasure trip with a businessman 'friend' was thrown off a car here late on Saturday night.

The girl, Christina, had gone to a pub with the businessman and his group of friends.

During dance, she had an argument with one of them.

Later, the men came to drop them to the hotel in New Market where she was lodged in. However, on way the argument turned nasty.

Christina was beaten and thrown off the sports utility vehicle (SUV). The incident occurred on the road near New Market.

The police, subsequently, reached the spot. The girl didn't want to register FIR in this case. But police have seized the SUV and have begun investigation.

She has come with another Uzbek girl to Bhopal. They are staying in a hotel here. Investigators suspect that it was not friendship that brought the girls here, rather, it was a deal. However, officials are mum over the incident.

"The businessman hails from Gujarat. Christina hails from Uzbekistan but is staying in Delhi for quite sometime. She had come here to meet Deepesh, who has business in Rajkot", said a police officer. Deepesh is being questioned.
