Youth Congress stages demo over growing unemployment, fry 'pakodas' to protest Modi-Shah's statements

BHOPAL: The Youth Congress leaders fried pakodas in front of the Congress office in Bhopal on Wednesday in protest against growing unemployment in the country.

State president of Youth Congress, Kunal Choudhary, fried pakodas and raised slogans against the policies of the BJP government for growing unemployment in the country in recent years.  

The 'Pakoda politics' started after PM Narendra Modi's statment that selling Pakoda is also an employment. Subsequently BJP national president Amit Shah defending it during his maiden speech in the parliament. 

Shah said that putting in honest efforts for selling pakodas is better than sitting unemployed. Congress has criticised BJP for failure to generate jobs and confuse self-employment with providing employment opportunities.

Replying to Shah’s stand on unemployment Congress started protesting by opening centres and frying pakodas across India. In MP, several such protests have been held. 

Since then, there have been protests in different parts of the country. Opposition parties have fried pakodads in cities ranging from Lucknow to Indore. Unemployed youth have also staged similar protests.
