BHOPAL: Action has been taken against alf-a-dozen police officials and personnel after the gang rape that has rocked Bhopal.

These policemen have been suspended and shifted for delay in registering FIR of the victim.

Three TIs have been put under suspension while a CSP has been posted in PHQ and removed from his present posting.

The incident has once again brought to fore the situation where police officials don't register complaints even in the most heinous criminal cases.

The girl's parents serve with police but still the FIR was not registered and they were taken from one to other police station. This insensitivity led to pouring of anger among citizens.

After CM Shivraj Chouhan held meeting of police officials, DGP ordered action. But this has been the age-old trend. Policemen remain insensitive and don't act in cases of serious nature.

The girl is a civil services aspirant and was returning from coaching institute when she was caught and gang-raped. Three accused have been rounded up and one of them is yet to be arrested.
