BHOPAL: Foul language used in a Madhya Pradesh government campaign has raised eyebrows.

The drive is to create awareness for stopping open defecation, especially, in rural areas of the State.

But the language used in the campaign has led to wide condemnation.

There are several slogans that are being painted on the walls and most of them target women--the Chachis and Bhabhis. Villagers have objected to the terminology, which has been described as cheap and in a bad taste.

'Sadak kinare baithi bhabhi, koi aaya so uthi $%@&&&' and 'Patri kinare baithi chachi..." have been painted on the walls in towns and villages. Complaints have been made to the officials and the government representatives over the offensive terms.

MP Cooperative Minister Vishwas Sarang said that the aim was to spread awareness and it was for a good cause but if there is something wrong, then it would be corrected. '
