Rooster called to police station for committing a 'crime' in Madhya Pradesh

SHIVPURI: In a bizarre incident, a rooster was called to the police station for a 'crime' in Madhya Pradesh.
The family that owns it, was asked to produce it in the police station, after a complaint was made by kin of the child who was bitten by it.
This incident occurred in Shivpuri town in Gwalior-Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. A one-year-old girl was bitten on the face by the rooster. As a result, the kid got injured.
The girl's mother went to the police station and made a complaint. The police called the owner of the rooster, Pappu Jatav. His wife was seen crying that she had raised the bird like her own child.
"The woman had come to police station and complained about the rooster. Hence, the murgha and its owner were called", said a police official. The woman had said that it the rooster had earlier also tried to bite the child.
Finally, both the sides had a settlement and the issue was resolved. But it had taken lot of persuasion and finally, the kid--Ritika's mother agreed to forgive the rooster.
