BHOPAL: Expressing dismay over the incidents of mob lynchings in the country, youths from Bhopal have sent a letter stamped with blood to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The youth who gathered at the spot, stambped the letter with blood, as a mark of protest against the killings of innocents.
Abbas Hafeez, who is behind the campaign, has said that the lynch mob gets emboldened when the top leaders remain silent.

The letter that has thumb impressions of several youths in blood, urges the Prime Minister to take stern action and asks him to speak up and intervene so that the lynchings could stop and such acts of mindless violence are stopped.

"It is a symbolic protest. We have sent our blood through this letter. We will continue our agitation throughout the state and in different parts of the country", said Hafeez who is state spokesperson of the Madhya Pradesh Congress.

He also said that mob violence is getting out of control and victims are mostly minorities or Dalits. "We hope that the Prime Minister would take a serious view of the situation and would take a tough stand".

Scores of persons have been killed in mob lynchings across the country in recent years. The latest victim is Tabrez Ansari, who was tied to a pole, forced to chant religious slogans, beaten up and later succumbed to injuries in Jharkhand.
