Bhopal: Baba Ramdev’s intervention through chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has finally expedited search of a millionaire teenage girl in Satna, who was allegedly abducted more than a month ago.

The accused in the case is a relative of Satna mayor Mamta Pande and this was reportedly the reason why police was being lax about searching the girl or take action on the accused.

The mayor’s relative Rishabh Mishra is main accused in the case while his father Krishnakant Mishra and friends Bhanu Singh and another have been named in the complaint by the girl’s family.

Recently after Baba Ramdev intervened in the case through the CM House, the director general of police directed the Satna police to expedite the case. The ‘abducted’ girl’s maternal uncle Rakesh Shukla is Baba Ramdev’s driver, sources said.

The 18-year-old girl went missing from her college in Satna on January 14 and the relatives were told that she was abducted by Rishab Shukla. The family of the girl lodged a complaint with the Civil Lines Police Station.

THe family has expressed apprehension that the girl was under duress for marriage because she was heir to huge property. The Satna mayor Mamta Pandey allegedly had role to play in this regard.

The mayor has however strongly refuted any role in the matter and has said that it was actually a matter of love affair and the girl had eloped with the boy who has been named as accused. The police have said that action is being initiated according to law and search for the girl is on.
