BHOPAL: Aiming at expanding its reach in cities, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is now eyeing the covered campuses--apartments and societies in urban areas of Madhya Pradesh.

As a large population now lives in these housing complexes that have numerous multi-storey buildings, the Sangh has these townships on its radar. It will have one in-charge in each such society.

Subsequently, the residents would be introduced to RSS' ideology and events would be held. There will be 'shakhas' later on. However, initially, there will be events, celebration of festivals, community feasts, yoga, sports and other activities.

The BJP leaders also hope this will help the party in the election, particularly, in reaching out to the voters in covered campuses in cities like Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and other other urban areas of Madhya Pradesh.

Tens of thousands of people live in multi-cultural societies in each city. As BJP is more and more focusing on micro-management, this is part of the effort to reach out to more and more people.
