BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Arun Yadav has asked chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to release a white paper on his foreign visits that were made to seek investment.

In the letter, Yadav has written that BJP has failed to bring industries and employment to Madhya Pradesh, despite huge promises.

He says that the claims to run metro trains in Bhopal and Indore have also proved to be hollow.

"Your claims are big and the statistics you show are misleading. The truth is that leaders of your own party have exposed the claims in the Assembly and on the streets. None other than senior leaders like Babulal Gaur and Kailash Vijayvargiya have questioned your development claims", writes Yadav.

"In Assembly, Babulal Gaur exposed the big talk about metro train, as also failure to implement other schemes", he mentions. Yadav mentioned Kailash Vijayvargiya too whose comment had embarrassed the government recently. Vijayvargiya had tweeted that it seemed bullock cart was coming, not the metro train. But he had later deleted it.

"After coming back from USA, you said that investment to the tune of Rs 2,000 crore would come to Madhya Pradesh. You have made several such visits to foreign countries in the past and tall claims were made. Global Investors' Summits (GIS) were also held but how much investment came. It is the common man's money which is used to fund the foreign visits, so citizen must know what has been the result", he wrote.

The state Congress chief has said that if all visits are futile then CM should stop the farce. In the letter, PCC chief said that another GIS would be held in Indore in October and hence, it is time that the State government comes up with a White paper on the entire exercise and show how much investment, industries have come to the State and how much employment was generated".
