TERRIBLE: Man cuts wife's leg, keeps it under his pillow for 2 days, locks her

BHOPAL/DAMOH: In an extremely horrifying incident, a man cut his wife's leg with an axe. He kept the leg under his pillow for two days.

Luckily, the woman's father reached her house as he was passing by the town.

He was shocked to see his daughter's condition and the fact how she had endured the pain. Subsequently, the police were informed.

This incident has occurred in Udaipura settlement in Damoh district. The accused, Hari Prasad, 26, suspected that his wife had illicit relations with another man. In a fit of anger, he attacked his wife Anita Rani with an axe and cut her leg.

The woman suffered extreme pain but he din't have any mercy on her, kept the wife shut in a room so that she couldn't even drag herself out and her cries won't reach neighbours.

The doctors were surprised that how she could survive after suffering such pain. She lost her foot from the ankle and this severed part of leg was kept by her husband under the pillow.

"He was so obsessed that he thought if he didn't keep her leg under his pillow, she will take the severed leg away", said a police official. The victim is undergoing treatment in the district hospital, however, her injury is too severe.

Town Inspector Ashok Nawama who heads Madiado police station in Damoh, has said that the accused Hari Prasad has been arrested for the heinous crime. "He is being interrogated", he told media persons.
