BHOPAL:

Union minister Uma Bharti has once again raised the demand for a separate Bundelkhand state.

The former MP CM said this while talking to journalist.

During a visit to Tikamgarh, she said that she fully supports it.

“I support the demand for separate Bundelkhand,” she said. This is after quite sometime that any leader has openly talked about it. Though there has been occasional demands for statehood.

“If people in districts of Madhya Pradesh do not want to get included in the new state than then it should be formed by adding the districts of Uttar Pradesh", she said.

Bundelkhand is a region spread over both UP and MP. The minister met party workers and her supporters after that she reached guest house and hold a meeting with the district officials during that she discussed the issue of water and potable water of the area.

She said that for the development of the region it is necessary that separate state should be formed and if Madhya Pradesh do not wish to leave its districts for new state than it should be formed by taking districts of Uttar Pradesh.
